Juggling May Benefit Brain Function

Juggling may help improve MS

A recent publication in Nature Neuroscience suggests that juggling or other complex new skills may improve the brain’s signaling network. Long term treatments may help in neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis.

The research was conducted by Oxford University’s Department of Clinical Neurology. A group of 24 were followed for 6 weeks of juggling training and practice. After 6 weeks, the jugglers showed a 5% increase in brain white matter compared to non-jugglers.
