Living Today

You Are On Your Way

You have reached a significant milestone by persisting with your Copaxone therapy for 60 months. You have already seen the benefits of your commitment to managing your Multiple Sclerosis (MS) – you may have been free of relapses, or they may have been shorter and less severe than they would have without disease-modifying therapy (DMT).

This booklet of the Living Today series will consider the cognitive changes that affect an estimated 40% – 70% of individuals with MS, and how you can take control in order to maintain your quality of life. If you have any concerns about your mental functioning, don’t try to face this challenge on your own. Seek out support from a friend or family member, the MS Society, or an MS care professional. There are many places to get help. Your Shared Solutions nurse can guide you to resources that will help you manage the cognitive and emotional effects of MS. This overview of MS-related cognitive changes, self-help strategies and available professional resources may help you take the next step. Empower yourself. Find out more.
